Clinic Policies

You can expect our staff and doctors to be respectful, compassionate, and conscientious about your care.  In turn, we ask that all our patients respects and follow our clinic policies.

  • We have a zero tolerance policy for any verbal or physical abuse, whether in person, on the phone, or via email / text.
  • This includes disruptive behaviour, inappropriate actions, language or comments, aggression, intimidation, or any infringement on the dignity or respect of any person.

  • A valid BC or other provincial health card (except Quebec) is required for the appointment fee to be covered. If you do not have a valid health card, you will be charged a fee for the visit
  • Appointments are typically 10 or 15 minutes, which is usually enough time to safely and adequately address one or two concerns.
  • If you have multiple concerns you would like to discuss, you may be asked to make another appointment out of respect for the next patients whose appointments follow yours.

  •  We require 24 business hours notice for appointment cancellations or changes, otherwise a no-show fee will apply.
  • The no-show fee can range from $50-$100, depending on the type and length of appointment.

  • All patient information is privileged and private.
  • You can expect all of our physicians and staff to uphold their duty of confidentiality to protect patient privacy.
  • Patient information cannot be released to anyone unless we have the patient’s explicit consent or there is a legal representation agreement or power of attorney in place.
  • This includes family members and parents of children who are considered “mature minors” by the physician as capable of making their own relevant healthcare decisions.

  • Our clinic staff are not permitted to discuss medical results or provide any medical advice over the phone, by fax, or by email, unless under direct instruction from a physician.
  • Instead, they will be happy to book you in with a doctor to discuss your concerns.

  • Most, but not all, medical services are covered by Health Insurance BC (MSP)
  • You will be responsible for the fee of any uninsured services requested from our doctors.
  • This includes things like sick notes, forms, employment physicals, etc
